Barbados born, she was a fan of reggae when she got older and started singing by herself, when she was an teen. The singer was disturbed by the mess within her home and the constant conflict between her parents. She decided to become a music lover. They formed a group as a teenager and was able to have an audition with music producer Evan Rodgers who was highly impressed with the talent of the young girl. He suggested that she move to New York in order to pursue a full-time career as a singer which she readily accepted. Rihanna made her debut album and became an overnight star. People of all ages were attracted by her songs with a catchy sound that had them tapping their feet, and this made her a star in the movie industry. Pretty young and highly talented her name is today considered a teen idol and a fashion icon. Rihanna uses her celebrity for good and is active in a variety of charity causes.
