Anamaria Marinca, a Romanian-born actress. Her screen debut came with the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic in which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award for Best actress. Fluently speaks French, German and English. Her father is a theatre professor at one of Romania's highest-rated drama schools. Won the Best Female Actor of the Year 2000 Award in the Young Actor Gala Mangalia. The European Film Promotion Board named her a European Shooting Star in 2008.
