Linda Edna Cardellini was born in Redwood City, California, to Lorraine (Hernan) and Wayne David Cardellini who is a businessman. She is of Italian, German (from the paternal maternal grandmother), Irish and Scottish descent. Linda grew in San Francisco Bay region, California as the youngest from four children. She became interested in acting in the age of ten when she was a singer in a Christmas production at school. She performed in school plays and local community theatre. Linda studied at Saint Francis High School Mountain View California. Following her graduation, Linda had to choose between moving in New York or Los Angeles to study theatre. She chose LA. Linda appeared on Bone Chillers (1996), her first appearance in the character. Her breakthrough part was when she got her first role in Freaks and Geeks (1999). Lily James was born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson (5 April 1989). She has a profession as an English actor. Her career began as an British actor in Just William (2010), which was a British series on British television. Cinderella was her breakout performance following her appearance playing Lady Rose MacClare, in Downton Abbey's period drama (2012-2015). James then played the role of the Countess Natasha Rostova, in the version on television of War & Peace, in 2016. She also appeared in a number of films. These include the action film Baby Driver (2017) and the period dramas Darkest Hour (2017) and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018 and 2021) and the musicals Mamma Mia! We're Going To Again (2019) and Yesterday (2018). Her portrayal of Pamela Anderson in the biographical series Pam & Tommy (2022) earned her nominations for the Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy Award.
