Cynthia Ann Crawford (born February 20 the 20th of February, 1966) is an American model as well as a TV personality and actress. She was a model, and a popular figure on magazines' covers, runways, and fashion campaigns in the 1980s and 1990s. In the following years, she started acting and launched a company. She was approached in her sophomore year by a local clothing shop regarding modeling. But, it turned out to be an unintentional joke from two of her classmates. Crawford was one of the high school girls hired by another store, who also had a fashion shoot. In her senior year, local photographer Roger Legel, whose duties included capturing a different college student to be the week's coed in DeKalb Nite Weekly, asked to photograph Crawford for the magazine; the result was her first cover. Her positive comments and the image led her to begin modeling. She began her career with a small agency. Elite Model Management bought it right after she signed. At 17 years old she took part in Elite's Look of the Year contest and was able to make it to the finals at national level.
